Biology  is divided up into four major topics of focus.

Biology Ecological Systems is focused on Alaska Standard SC3.1 & SC3.2 which stress the relationships between organisms and their environments as well as the transfer and transformation of matter and energy

Biology Cellular Structures is focused on Alaska Standards SC2.1, SC2.2 & 2.3 with a focus of structure / function relationships at the cellular level.

Biology Genetics is also focused on Alaska Standards SC1.1, SC1.2 & 1.3 with a focus of genetics and heredity.

Biology Evolution focuses on Alaska Standards SC1.1 & SC1.2 with a focus on the study of DNA and its role in the evolutionary process.
